Good Morning..

Do you have a problem about your eyes? Or are you the one who are wearing glasses in your daily? Well, in the past, everybody who had a trouble with their sight would use the glasses to help. But in recent years, everything are becoming more modern, one of the popular tool that people love to use is contact lens. It is not only helps you when you see but also make you more styled.

The inventor of contact lens was a Germany’s physiologist, Adolf Eugen Fick in 1887. From that moment on, contact lens are becoming more popular, mostly for woman. The enthusiasm of woman to wear contact lens may bring them to the dangerous situation. There a many colorful contact lens that sale freely without any recommendation from the specialist or doctor around us, it happened because of the high number of demand from woman and girls for style reason. But, mostly they ignore the negative effects of using it.

Today, I will persuade you to be aware using the contact lens because of health reason. (1) Sight Problem (2) Eye Injury.

Wearing the contact lens for a long time would cause lack of oxygen on your eyes. In serious case it would cause blood vessel breakage that would destroy your sight, as Melanie Pickett, department of clinical ophthalmology in Indiana University admitted. She also said that the using of lens would give worse effect like loss of ability to see in 24 hours after using.

One of the common wrongness that people do about contact lens is wearing it longer than what have suggested. It is really dangerous because it would make microbes come in to the eyes and can cause the increasing of the bad risk. So, for those who wearing the contact for a long time, Elliott Myrowitz, the head of Optometric attendance in Johns Hopkins University, Wilmer Eye Institute suggest that you need to clean up your lens with any kind of cleaner solution and don’t forget to submerged your lens in the cleaner solution once a week.

According to Dr. H. Dwight Cavanaugh, a professor eye specialist from Southwestern Medical Center, USA. In his article “Eye and Contact Lens” in 2003 said about 2.500 user of contact lens get “corneal ulcers”. It happens to user who use that lens almost everyday.

Corneal ulcer is the condition where the cornea is in injury condition. It is caused by infection and a small wound that could happen because of carelessness while wearing the contact lens. The indication that happen to the sufferer are the increasing of tears production, sensitive about the light, the sight become blur, irritation and painful.

In conclusion, contact lens is something that kicks your performance, especially for woman and help your sight problem. But sometimes it also harmful for your health because of the carelessness while wearing it.
